Sometimes when I am in a “healthy eating” mood (or just feeling guilty after several days of indulging in too many cakes) I make my favourite energizing smoothie. It is very refreshing, with velvety texture and nice sweetness and is good for breakfast and for dessert.
I must have mentioned already about my avocado obsession. I love this fruit so much that every time I find nice avocados in the store I buy a few. I can eat it any time and with everything. It is also incredibly healthy: contains big quantities of vitamins, minerals and good oils important for our health. Regardless of being a “fatty” fruit, according to some researches the regular consumption of avocado helps to fight obesity… So how would you not love it!
The first time I made my avocado, banana and yogurt smoothie was few years ago. It was quite nice. I added just a bit of honey for a sweeter taste, even though the banana by itself is an excellent sweetener.
In the last few days I felt again a desire for a refreshing smoothie. I was making avocado and mango puree for my son and it looked so nice that I decided to make a similar smoothie for me. The result was really good: the mango gives a lot of flavour but also a very nice sweetness. And it is another very healthy fruit!

Ingredients (2 servings):
1/2 ripe avocado
1/2 ripe mango
200 g plain yogurt
Peel and chop all fruits and put them in a blender. Add the yogurt. Blend about 1 minute on maximum speed, until smooth. Pour the smoothie in glasses and enjoy immediately.
In case you don’t have a nice mango on hand, you won’t go wrong by trying my first version of this smoothie. It is also tasty, refreshing and equally healthy. Just substitute the mango by a teaspoon of raw good quality honey, then blend and enjoy!
