Today I have the pleasure to present you a blogger with a great style: Lily Ernst, the lady behind Little Sweet Baker. I am very happy that she accepted my invite for an interview at Dani’s Cookings because I really like her site: it’s one of the most elegant food blogs I have ever seen!
In Little Sweet Baker you can find nice and tasty recipes, most of them unbelievably easy to prepare. I have to admit that am a big fan of Lily’s photography: all her pictures are so beautiful! For many of the recipes she makes videos as well.
I asked Lily some questions about blogging, food and what is to be a mother of two young boys.
Daniela: How did you decide to start blogging?
Lily: I decided to start blogging as a hobby during my second maternity leave. I felt like I was in mommy mode all the time and I needed something new to focus on for myself.
What is the most challenging part of your blogging career?
I think the most challenging part is finding enough time to do all the things I want to do with my blog.
The pictures in your blog are really beautiful and also look so delicious! How did you learn photography?
I first learned food photography from Sally’s Baking Addiction. She has a great post on the basics of food photography. I also purchased Pinch of Yum’s e-photography book when I first started and I’ve taken a few classes from Henry’s School of Imaging.
You are a mother of two little boys. I have only one little boy and I feel constantly tired! What is the best way for you to relax?
Lol, I think being tired is part of motherhood. The best way I relax is having quiet time for myself to wind down. I think that is important as a parent.
What is your most favorite food that you could eat all the time?
Tough one as I love food. Something I could eat all the time…..ummm I would have to say spaghetti with bolognese sauce (and a slice of chocolate cake).
What is your least favorite food?
Blue cheese – I find it pungent and smelly. Sorry to any cheese fans out there.
I asked Lily if she could present a recipe which she personally likes very much. She told me that her Chocolate Chip Muffins are their family favourite. You can find the recipe in her blog.
