Apple cake with Biscuits
peeled and finely chopped
ground or finely chopped walnuts
Prevent your screen from going dark
Preheat oven to 200 degrees C.
Melt the butter over a pan of simmering water and pour it into a small rectangular baking pan. Spread it well all around the bottom and the sides of the pan.
Arrange the biscuits on the bottom of the pan in order to cover it completely.
Spread evenly the chopped apples on top of the biscuits.
In a small bowl or cup combine flour, baking powder, salt, cinnamon and cloves.
In a mixing bowl beat eggs and sugar for 3-4 minutes. Add the flour mixture and whisk until homogeneous. Add the chopped walnuts and stir until just absorbed in the batter.
Pour the batter over the apples. Bake the cake for about 40 minutes or until golden brown. Let the cake cool before serving.
